A little about services provided:
Dr. Lindwedel Witt offers individual therapy services for adolescents and adults.
She offers traditional “in-person” therapy as well as virtual “teletherapy” in order to meet the needs of all patients. Teletherapy allows you to participate in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office using your phone, computer or tablet. We use a secure patient portal that connects to a
HIPAA compliant telehealth portal.
Teletherapy can be the perfect option for those with busy schedules, individuals in high risk COVID exposure groups, working professionals, parents, students (or patients away at college), persons with disabilities, persons worried about driving in inclement weather and those who reside in rural areas but are looking for professional mental health services. Many patients alternate between in-person and virtual sessions depending on their needs, schedules, and health. Telehealth is appropriate for most presenting problems but Dr. Lindwedel Witt may determine that your specific needs may be better treated by in-person sessions.
There is typically about a 2 week wait for an initial session but if you would like to get in sooner, ask to be added to the cancellation list and there is a good chance something will open up. After your initial appointment, Dr. Lindwedel Witt will make a recommendation on the frequency and duration of your sessions. Each session is 45minutes long and are scheduled at a time that works best for you. Sessions are available during the day and evening hours however if you need very specific times, it may be necessary to schedule your appointments well in advance.

A little about Fees/Insurance:
Dr. Lindwedel Witt’s teletherapy session fee is $170 and her in-person fee is $185. She asks that patients keep a credit card on file that can be ran at the time of each session. She is considered an “out of network” provider with all insurance plans which means that she does not accept direct payment from insurance companies but she can provide you with a receipt (called a Superbill) that will have all of the information the insurance company will need. If you plan to use your insurance benefits, please contact your insurance company to inquire about your benefits/reimbursement for out of network providers.

In order to assist you in determining your own reimbursement from your insurance provider, we have outlined the steps you may take in order to ascertain the actual benefits available to you.

Make sure to keep careful records of your conversation in the even you need to appeal a future decision by the insurance company.

Call the number on the back of your insurance card for the Benefits Departments and ask the following questions:
-
What is the representative’s name and extension number?
-
Does my policy cover an Out of Network, Licensed Psychologist?
-
My therapist is willing to provide a statement of Session Dates Attended, the CPT code, and the diagnosis. Is this acceptable to the insurance company?
-
Does my policy cover Individual Psychotherapy? (CPT code 90834)
-
What mental health diagnoses are NOT reimbursable?
-
How many sessions are covered per year?
-
What is the lifetime maximum for mental health benefits?
-
What is my Out of Network deductible?
-
What is allowed amount of the fee?
-
What perfect of the allowed amount will be reimbursed?
-
How do I file a claim?

NOTE: Many insurance companies will reimburse a percentage of the total fee paid. For example, your company may reimburse you 80% of the total fee paid. ($124 of the total $155 fee.) Other companies will substitute the $155 fee for what they deem appropriate, regardless of what you paid. For example, your company may say that they will reimburse you 80% of the "allowed amount of the fee." You paid $155 for an individual session, but your insurance company only allows $100; therefore you will be reimbursed 80% of the $100 or $80. They may withhold this information from you and legally they can do so. Ask to speak with a supervisor and tell them you need this number in order to plan your medical expense budget.
